Our sponsors

Our sponsors have been essential in making the Redfish School of Change a reality, and in ensuring that the program is affordable and accessible.

Shell CanadaShell Canada is a founding sponsor of the Redfish School of Change. Shell Canada's contribution comes through a joint venture with Chevron Canada and Marathon Canada, and has helped fund the development, pilot phase, and delivery of the program. This generous investment contributes to the development of young people's environmental literacy and encourages them to become environmental leaders and champions of sustainable living.

Catherine Donnelly FoundationThe Catherine Donnelly Foundation is a significant supporter of the Redfish School of Change. The Foundation's vision is closely aligned with the guiding principles of the Redfish School of Change, particularly in aspiring to a world that respects and reveres creation; an interdependent society whose structures enable the poor to live with dignity and to realize their full potential; a community that is open to transformation and whose commitment to human solidarity ensures social and ecological justice.

Green StreetGreen Street is funded by the J. W. McConnell Family Foundation with the aim of fostering a sense of environmental stewardship among young people across Canada. Through its Youth Engagement Grants, Green Street sponsored youth interviews and a youth intern during the development of the Redfish School of Change, as well as provided financial aid for students participating in the pilot program.

Thanks also to ROAM shop in Nelson as well as to Mountain Equipment Co-op for providing gear for our wilderness trips.

Nature's Path logoFor food donations during the semester, we also thank Wildfire and Level Ground in Victoria; Ann's Natural Foods and Soup du Jar in New Denver; and Nature's Path Foods in Richmond.

We are also grateful to the many people who volunteered their time and energy and have supported the design, development and delivery of this unique field school. Special thanks go to the anonymous donors who helped fund the research phase of the Redfish School of Change.
